Charley Tree Warden Vacancy

Charley Parish Council is seeking to appoint an active Tree Warden. This is a voluntary role but any reasonable costs would be met by the Parish Council.

What does a Tree Warden do?

• regularly check on the state of trees with Preservation Orders on them on public land or easily visible from public footpaths.
• make the local community aware of pests and diseases such as Ash Dieback and Oak Processionary Moth.
• work with the Parish Council and Leicestershire County Council
• record ancient trees in the parish
• spread information about trees and the environment, via the Parish Council website and meetings, or even walks and talks.
