Charley Tree Warden Vacancy
Charley Parish Council is seeking to appoint an active Tree Warden. This is a voluntary role but any reasonable costs would be met by the Parish Council.
What does a Tree Warden do?
- regularly check on the state of trees with Preservation Orders on them on public land or easily visible from public footpaths.
- make the local community aware of pests and diseases such as Ash Dieback and Oak Processionary Moth.
- work with the Parish Council and Leicestershire County Council
- record ancient trees in the parish
- spread information about trees and the environment, via the Parish Council website and meetings, or even walks and talks.
If you think that this might be the role for you, please do get in touch with the Clerk via email: admin@charleyparishcouncil.org.uk
